Papa bought Aimi an IKEA closet

Yahooo~
Finally Aimi has her own closet.

All this while Aimi's clothes are everywhere in her babycot. Yes. Her babycot is her closet. Pity kan?
So Papa bought his little baby Aimi this closet so that she can keep all her clothes (those that cannot fit anymore and those that cannot wear coz not yet fit :P )

Papa installed this closet 100% with love and patience tau Aimi...~

Lucky we have Puteh d Forte, we managed to carry this closet all the way from IKEA with the backseat folded.

But Mama hasn't finish filling in Aimi's clothes lar. Too many yang orang bagi (@_@)

Aimi has got a new walker

Last Sunday, I went to Bandar Baru Bangi and saw Manjaku are having SALE.

Personally, I think Manjaku is not selling stuff at really cheap price during sales but somehow it managed to attract me to have a look.
Well, Win and I have been planning to buy the walker for Aimi since she likes to watch me cooking in the kitchen.

So we bought the walker which i think very expensive! (T^T)
Also 8pcs of 2' x 2' playmat foam which cost Rm39.90/pack (4pcs each pack)
And Avent Pink bottle with 20% discount, RM76.90.

So having a walker might be a good idea for Aimi maneuvering around the dining area and kitchen on her own.
She doesn't like the idea of being in the walker too long. She screams like nobody business. Haih.
She kicks her feet and only goes backward. That's ok. Soon she'll learn that this walker can go forward too :P

I forgot to take a picture of the foam after I put it in the living area (because it ended up being the place where I fold my clothes HAHAHA)

The foam is OK, not as nice as the PVC Pororo carpet that I wanted to buy from the Baby Expo in Midvalley. At least Aimi has a soft place to roll on.

Aimi rolls all over the places in the living room nowadays.

Especially last night, she rolled and rolled and rolled from her place (by my side - btw, we sleep in front of the TV) to the TV cabinet. I only realized she has been there when I heard she tapped on the cabinet.

Tap Tap Tap!

Seram mak nakkkkk~

Aimi started having solid food

Yippie!

Aimi was introduced to solid food a few days (or weeks) before she reached 6 months old.

Her teacher in nursery secretly feed her with solid (without my knowledge) because the teacher said Aimi looked so curios when seeing other kids having their lunch.

But at that time, she still doesn't know how to swallow solid food.
I know, coz at home I tried to feed her solid too even she is not 6 months yet.

But recently the teacher said that Aimi has learned how to swallow properly.  So I started packing cereal (brown rice & rice with soya) for her during her daytime in nursery. The teacher said, she eats a lot!

Luckily, I have bought her the plastic bib so it is very easy to clean up after feeding time.

I haven't prepared frozen puree for her. So lazy larrr :P
Maybe will start cooking rice porridge for her once she is 7 months.

For now, let her experimenting her stomach with cereal jer *ayat malas Mama*

Aimi and her neck float

Aimi loves to be in the water!

So we bought her this neck float at Mom & Baby Expo in Midvalley. for RM40. Quite expensive, huh?
This float is suitable for babies 4 months old and above (kot)

Initially, I personally think that it's kinda hurt hanging baby on her neck in the water :P
But seeing how Aimi enjoyed her time in the pool with this neck float, it looks like it doesn't hurt her at all. Kot.. kan?

She can freely kick and move her hands in the water when she's using this float. Not like the normal baby float (the one she already had), the movements are pretty limited.

Since Aimi loves being in the pool so much, I am thinking to get her a swimming suit. Or a float suit. Or a baby swimming warmer suit.

But first, need to get her more swimming diapers!

Aimi warded in KPJ Kajang

Huhu, Aimi was admitted in KPJ Kajang pediatrician ward last week because doctor diagnosed her having Acute Bronchiolitis (forgot how to spell the disease name lah)

Or simply translated as too much phlegm in her lungs so to reduce it, she had to go through physio treatment and nebulizer (every 4 hours)

The physio was kinda harsh to be watched. Aimi is tightly wrapped before the physiotherapist starts the percussion on Aimi's chest and back - head lower than her body. This is to loose up the phlegm and accumulate in the throat.

After 15 minutes of percussion session, then the physiotherapist sucks out all the accumulated phlegm in her throat using small tubes and vacuum. Of course by this time, Aimi cried coz something is poking inside her nose and throat!

After 3 days, we were allowed to discharge from the hospital. And now Aimi is free of phlegm :)

Avent

I am using this Avent Sterilizer to sterilize Aimi's bottles. Bought this set from a blogshop (sorry can't remember the blogshop's name) at only RM130.00, I think. This package includes a 4oz bottle, a measurement cup and a little tiny weeny thong.
I bought this Newborn Starter Kit at Mom & Baby Expo for RM139 without knowing whether Aimi is gonna like it or not. Personally I think it is a very good starter kit to begin with for new mommies.

But when I was training Aimi to feed from her bottles, she refused! (@_@)

Mak kept nagging me saying that the Avent's teats are too hard. She wanted me to get softer teats.
So I bought NUK bottles & teats.

The teats I bought were latex. I had to buy NUK bottles since the teats are not Avent-compatible.

The teats are not as expensive as Avent's but yeah, they are softer. Aimi seemed to like it for quite some times until one day.. she refused to drink anything from any bottle I have!! Be it Avent or NUK.

So I bought MAM teats. Since I read in some mommies blog that the MAM teats are compatible with Avent bottles, I didn't need to buy the bottles. Selamat duit mak~

This teats is a bit softer than Avent's. The price is a bit cheaper than Avent's too. Aimi likes this teat, so i can finally stop buying different teats! Yeayyy~

After a couple of months, Aimi bedal her milk with all these teats. So for now, I only use Avent and MAM teats coz they are using the same bottles :P

Aimi has been using the 4oz bottles until she is 5 months and recently changed to 9oz bottle since she started to drink 7oz per mealtime.

Well that's a good experience for me!

ps: Personally, I prefer MAM teats but I don't like their bottles. Too fancy for me.

Aimi - Fitting Baju Raya

Aimi went for baju raya fitting last Sunday.

The last time I met the tailor when I was 4 months pregnant. The tailor recognizes me and said, "Wah, anak sudah busat (besar) ahhh~" HAHA.

I bought 4.5 meters of Japanese Cotton fabric for both Aimi's and my baju kurung at Nilai 3 last week. It is pink color (ehh, i forgot to take a picture of it lah)

The tailor-made baju kurung is gonna cost us RM70 (kurung moden for me RM45 and kurung biasa Aimi RM25 - regardless of her size!)

Baju raya gonna siap in June. Yeay!

What stroller would you choose?

Frankly, we were being cheapo about Aimi's stroller. We bought the best bargain we could afford, a Halford during SOGO Sale :P Just like the one below but we bought the red one.

This set comes with a baby carseat with a total price of RM699.

However, this stroller is too heavy for me to carry and lift it up from inside the car boot! Nyampah. It is quite hard to maneuver because we need two hands to hold it. I cannot assemble and disassemble the stroller by myself, have to ask Win to do it for me. Troublesome.

Wayyyyyy before we bought this Halford, I was eying this Quinny Travel System.. but obviously we can't afford this (T^T) It costs about RM2500 (pitammmm)

Luckily, Win's aunt - Cik Ana - gave us a hand-me-down stroller. A Combi stroller.

And we were amazed on how light this stroller is! It is very easy to maneuver (even single handed) and also very quick to assemble/disassemble. Still in good condition even after 7 years of usage!

So if you are looking for stroller, you might as well consider things like weight and how easy it is to get the stroller assembly done. Price wise, depends on your budget :P

Please don't be like me.. cheapo~ (=.=)

Rolling rolling

Aimi just started rolling over when she is 4 months++. At first, she can only roll her body once but didn't know how to roll over on her back again. Then she started crying.. haih.

But after some times and lots of practice (ceh kononnn) she can now flip on her back.

And since then, she would always wanted to sleep in this position.

Just that when she's sleeping (face up), she would accidentally roll to her side and flip! Pastu nangis. So I have to help her get on her back again and she'll continue sleeping. And this happens every 2 hours.

In the morning

Every morning Aimi wakes up around 7 a.m.

She starts her day with smiles and baby talking. She even talks in her sleep sometimes around 5 a.m and her voice usually wakes me up (=.=)

Because she moves a lot during sleeping, her position usually change 180 degree rotation. Haiya~

Red Riding Hat (?)

I like this red hat Aimi's wearing - a lot!

It is made of soft fabric, not so thick not so thin. Just nice. It costs RM20, bought at a shop on the bridge between Time Square and Low Yat.

Aimi looks more like a girl if she wears this hat. Hehe.

Before and after

They said look at cute babies pictures during pregnancy.
So that the baby inside mommy can be as cute as those in the pictures, they say.

I have been looking at these 2 pictures on my mirror during my pregnancy and see how Aimi turns out to look like. :P

Oh, Aimi is the one in the red hat and stripes tee.
Hah!
This is how Aimi takes her bath everyday from the day she's born. In the bathtub on the dining table :P

The bathtub is a hand-me-down tub from Win's aunt, Cik Ana. If I'm not mistaken, the tub's brands is Safety First.

It is a very very very good tub indeed. The tub makes bathing a baby very easy. Even Papa can do it!

It has a soft padding on the surface which the baby can lean against it and doesn't require much effort on securing the baby's position because of the tub's V shape.

I strongly suggest this tub to new mommies out there. It won't hurt in investing some money in good tub like this so that your baby can enjoy his/her bath time! :D

Aimi with her swimming diaper

Aimi wore this swimming diaper when we took her into the pool.

My sister gave me this swimming diaper and luckily it fits nicely on Aimi. I think this diaper is Huggies Swimmer kot (can't recall what brand it was)

This diaper doesn't stay dry (of course la kan), so I don't know what it is meant for.
To avoid poop in the pool maybe? HAHA.

Aimi in da pool~

We went to Grand Lexis, Port Dickson last April and had a great time in the private pool.

She enjoyed being in the pool with her first big-yellow floating device :P Just look at her face! Haha. Here is the video of her with Papa in the pool.

Hello World!

Introducing Aimi Zahra.
She is born on 17th November 2011.
