Happy First Birthday, Aimi Zahra

We celebrated Aimi's first birthday at my in laws place, JB.
Aimi had so much fun playing with her cousins there.
I made 2 large pizzas, 30 skewers beef kebab & some fruits skewer, while my sister in law made some shepherd pie and triffles.

The cake was sponsored by Tok Wahid and it was nice! An icecream cake but a lot cheaper than the one in Baskin Robins of course :D

Happy Birthday, Aimi.
May Allah bless you ~

The one with macNcheese

This is what I prepared for Aimi's lunchbox today.
Half kiwi and mac n cheese.

Actually, Aimi didn't finish up her milk before she went to sleep last nite. So sayang to discard the leftovers of her milk which is 4 ounce, I put it in the fridge with intention to make some omelet for today's breakfast.

But today I've got an idea of making mac n cheese using the milk leftover tu.

So I made a batch of mac n cheese, for Aimi & for my lunch too. Tengok-tengok ada banyak lagi for dinner later. :P

I don't like this kind of attitude

I joined this one group of mommies in FB, with intention to gain some knowledge and share experience about our LOs (little ones) .

When I stumble upon this kind of status in the group, it somehow pissed me off.

First, because she is not being thankful that her mother is willing to take care of her LO.

I mean, hey come on! You don't have any idea how hard it is to get a babysitter nowadays! You should be thankful that your mother is willing to babysit your LO, you know? Compared to having to send your LO to daycare like me, I am very envy of you. You have no idea how the daycare babysit your LO. If you are lucky, you will get a good one - which I bet it sure gonna cost you >700/month. Or if you are not lucky, you will get a terrible daycare and might end up having to resign and taking care of your LO yourself (which I am currently feeling like it right now)

Secondly, the way how she despise her mom for feeding the baby with the TV on.

Do you know how much time does your mom have every day in order to settle the house chores and your LO? Very little. That's why she uses any mean to feed your LO which includes bribing her with TV.
Have you ever got so preoccupied with your LO that you didn't have time to cook your lunch and dinner? I bet your mom have too. Can you just let her do what she needs to do so that your LO is happy and content so that she, in return has the time to settle other chores?

What? You expect your mom to be patient and slowly feed LO for 1 hour?
Then, your father no need to eat lunch & dinner meh?

Thirdly, on how she is trying to become a perfect mom by not wanting to do wrong.

COME ONNNNNNN!!
No one can become a perfect parent. Haven't you read of that fact? Haihhhh.

Yes I understand that you don't want your LO to watch TV at all coz all the parenthood books said that TV is not good for LO.

But have you ever considered if that is the only way to keep your LO brain busy so that her mouth can open wide during feeding time, then just let it be - for the sake of your mom's time.

Meanwhile, when you bring your LO back home and feed her dinner, feed her the way that you want. You might get lucky if eventually your LO won't need the TV on during her feeding time.

Don't blame your mom and complain so much on the group larrr...

If you don't like how she takes care of your LO, just resign and babysit your own LO.
Apa susah?

The one with Combi Coccoro Carseat

Oh, I wanna write a review on this carseat.

We bought this Combi Coccoro Carseat at the Baby Fair in MidValley for RM800.

Freaking expensive but very efficient.

It is very easy to install and uninstall on your car seat. Be it the front passenger or back passenger, you name it. The padding is suitable for newborn babies until their neck is strong enough to support their heads. the safety belt are padded so the baby will feel very comfy in it.

Since Aimi is now 10 months old, we pulled the padding out so that she has more space for her shoulders.
This car seat comes with EggShock technology which is claimed to reduce the risk of head injuries.

The baby carseat is damn light that we can actually lift it out of the car if the baby is sleeping, by not having to wake the baby up. And once you have reach the house and put the baby carseat down, you can rock the baby carseat slowly to help the baby continue sleeping.

The material of this carseat is very good.
If we park the car at the open carpark during a hot sunny days, the carseat won't get too hot and we can put the baby rite inside the carseat once we got into the car. Especially the padding. That padding is damn good. But now even without the padding, the temperature of the carseat is still acceptable for Aimi to sit on it.

Well, I guess that's it for now. Can't think of anything else to say good things about this carseat anymore.

In the end, it all depends on your budget. If you can afford it, you can get a better quality carseat but with higher price lar :P

The one with MegaBloks

Aimi's new favorite things-to-make-mama-mad to do nowadays, is playing with the bottle cap.
Be it her feeding bottle or even my clinique turnaround cream. OH NO!

She will keep capping and recapping the bottle and if she failed, she will scream out loud.

Haih.
So I went to Jusco yesterday to get this MegaBloks for her.
It is so freaking expensive!
Can I consider this as an advance birthday present for you, Aimi? :P

Well, she seems happy and all excited about the megabloks though.
Hopefully she will get preoccupied with these megabloks while I am busy cooking dinner.
At least, Papa is around to play with her.

Okay Aimi.
Ask Papa your next birthday present! I have given you mine :)

The one with her lunch box

This is Aimi's lunch box for a day meal.
Half cup of rice made into plain porridge - in the food jar thermos.
Steamed carrot & broccoli with some soup from my vege soup of the day.
Peeled grapes without seed - punched into the cute sticks from Daiso.
Some coco crunch for her snacks.

Oooops, no protein for today :P

Usually, she can finish everything in her lunch box but that depends on her mood.

I don't mind.
As long as she has her appetite, I am all satisfied.

Can't wait to make her cute bento like this!!
Only when she's ready to eat her normal rice lah, porridge cannot make into these cute shapes lar :P

The one who sleeps soundly

The one who found Papa's wallet

The one with the wet towel

She has been having high temperature at nite.
I think it maybe because she's having 3 new teeth poking thru her gums.

Poor little kid.

For the whole week she refused to eat her porridge, refuse to drink her milk.
And as a result, she lost 500grams within a week.

The one who's learning to stand

She just won't sit down once we get back to our house from her nursery in the evening.
At least she has shown some interest of getting on her feet!
I am just worried she is too lazy to learn to walk. LOL.

The one with Papa's new bike

Papa just bought a new motorbike, a Honda CBR250r!
Aimi just loveeeeee it when we bring her along for the evening ride.
She would say.. Da! Da!

LOL

Mama.. help meeeeeeee~ :P

The one with the swing

We went to KLCC last few weeks and brought this little munchkin to KLCC Park to play at the playground.

Well, maybe next time we can come again when she can walk :P
InsyaAllah.

The one with Baju Raya

Aimi's baju raya is pink colour this year.
We tailor-made our baju raya using the same pattern of fabric, that was 3 months before Raya!
Luckily, the tailor is so experienced that when Aimi put on her baju raya, it fits her nicely.
Not too long, not too short.
Phewwww~

Since she can already ate solid food, we had nasi impit with soto soup that raya morning. And Aimi lovessss nasi impit with soup since then :)
That was me feeding her nasi impit with soup lah tuuu....

She looks a bit girlish in pink, isn't she?
Poor papa, he had to wear pink baju melayu that Raya morning too :P

The one with so little hair

Parenthood Expo 2012 @ Midv

Almost everyone who saw her at the Parenthood Expo @ Midvalley last weekend thought that Aimi is a boy. I don't blame them. She does look like a boy at a glance, that's why I put on her Hard Rock romper+skirt hoping some people might realize that she is a girl.

Apparently, my attempt for that, failed :P

Rusks all over her face
One of the Jusco salesperson laughed when she saw Aimi's hair. Haha. That is one of the reason why some thought this baby is a boy! She has very little hair and all of them are pointing upwards. Like she is electrified! HAHAHA sorry Aimi but Mama cannot tahan from laughing lar :P

Her original hair have been shaved on the 7th day after she's born. And until now, after 8 months plus her hair is just like in the photo!

I have no idea how to make her hair thicker or at least bend sideways.

Having a baby girl, of course I am excited to buy dresses and headbands for Aimi. But I am holding all back. Her Papa won't allow me to buy Aimi headbands.. because she would look funny with it. I agree, coz having very little hair and wearing headbands will make her look like this: FUNNY.

And dresses.

Not until she knows how to walk. My personal opinion, it would be wasteful if making her wear dresses when she is still lying and rolling. The dresses won't look as nice as in the catalog lar :P

It's ok Aimi. Your hair will grow as nice as mine (perasan) just that they need a lot of time.

Almost ate the sand! And she drank the sea water too :P

Ride the SkyCab (cable car) at Gunung Mat Chincang
